Contrary to popular belief, hair loss is not an exclusively male issue. When I was 6 years old I dove head first into a baby pool, resulting in a chunk of my scalp floating away from me, never to return. That’s the reason why I don’t have a perfect hairline, but hereditary female-pattern baldness, hormonal changes during pregnancy, and hypothyroidism are among the more common causes. No matter how it happens, it can be a real confidence-killer, but there’s an app for that. Just kidding, it’s not an app, but it is a pretty badass hack.
Step 1. Take a brow powder (I like Anastasia Beverly Hills- $23 Sephora.com) that matches your hair on a firm but fluffy brush, and blend it right into sparse areas.
Step 2. …….
Nope, that’s it! Too easy, right?
Why it Works?
Brow powders are formulated to withstand the oil and sweat on your face so you won’t have to worry about it melting off throughout the day. There are products sold for this specific concern, but I’ve found that a brow powder works just the same. Even an eyeshadow can work in a pinch!
Tip: Use a light hand and blend softly in the direction of the hair to avoid patchiness.
